‍There’s another novel rattling around in my head….

‍This time, I’ve followed the recommended approach of creating characters and an outline and synopsis before starting to write, but still the blank pages are taunting me.

‍Remains to be seen whether I do as recommended and just write and write and edit later, or follow my usual practice of editing as I write - something I can’t seem to resist doing no matter how often I’m advised not to!

‍I’m playing with possible titles. Working title is just ‘The Legacy’, which will definitely not stay.

‍I toyed with Under the Apple Tree, but that’s been used too often. Then I thought about When the Jacaranda Blossoms. But hubby came up with Caught in the Slips. His ideas are always left field of mine, but always have merit. I’m seriously considering it.

‍This one will be, like A Will of Deceit, a family saga, legal drama and literary fiction - but mostly the former. 

‍Set in rural Australia, it will explore how family secrets, guilt, and the power of land can either destroy or heal across generations. 

‍The story will be set in the current year, but with flashbacks to the period from 2005 to 2015. 

‍I’m loving getting to know the characters. They are talking to me constantly now, telling me their stories.
